Latin Reading Classes

Ideal for those who have some proficiency in the language already.

The aim of these classes is to improve confidence and reading fluency: to get you away from the introductory textbook translations and into the heart of real Latin literature. This is achieved through a mixture of prepared and unprepared passages for translation: you will be doing the work, but in all cases, I will be figuratively at your side to provide copious guidance and to explain points of style and language which you will not find in any YouTube video or basic textbook.

Content can be tailored to your specific requirements, if needed, such as Latin for specific research or from a specific period.

Fees

Lessons may be bought individually or in sets of four. I would recommend at least two lessons to start, so as to see progress. Each 1 hour lesson is ZAR 850.00. A set of four lessons is ZAR 3200.00.
